چکیده

Abstract In this paper, we focus on the penalty finite element method for non stationary porous media model. We begin by showing existence and uniqueness of solution initial problem. Error estimates velocity pressure are obtained via energy method. introduce a time discretization use backward Euler scheme combined with fully discrete to approximate penalized problem establish an error estimate which will be used show convergence The shape optimization is find optimal in that it minimizes cost functional related comfort fish population. derive adjoint system associated compute gradient terms state variables. procedure implemented using continuous Numerical simulations presented efficiency robustness proposed

Dynamic Analysis of Porous Media using Generalized Plasticity Model and Non-Darcy Flow Rule

Biot equations that consider fluid and soil interaction at the same time are the most applicable relationships in the soil dynamic analysis. However, in dynamic analysis, due to the sudden increase in the excess pore pressure caused by seismic excitation and the occurrence of high hydraulic gradients, the assumption of the Darcy flow used in these equations is questionable. In the present study...

Dynamic Memory Model for Non-Stationary Optimization

Real-world problems are often nonstationary and can cause cyclic, repetitive patterns in the search landscape. For this class of problems, we introduce a new GA with dynamic explicit memory, which showed superior performance compared to a classic GA and a previously introduced memorybased GA for two dynamic benchmark problems.

Non-stationary Function Optimization using Polygenic Inheritance

Non-stationary function optimization has proved to be a di cult subject for genetic algorithms (GAs). Standard haploid GAs nd it di cult to track a moving target and tend to converge to a local optimum that appears early in a run. We have surveyed a number of diploid GAs which use classic dominant recessive expressions, and outline some possible reasons why they have failed to gain wide accepta...

Non-Stationary Stochastic Optimization

We consider a non-stationary variant of a sequential stochastic optimization problem, in which the underlying cost functions may change along the horizon. We propose a measure, termed variation budget, that controls the extent of said change, and study how restrictions on this budget impact achievable performance. We identify sharp conditions under which it is possible to achieve long-run avera...

Hydrodynamic aspects of particle clogging in porous media.

Data from 6 filtration studies, representing 43 experiments, are analyzed with a simplified version of the single-parameter O'Melia and Ali clogging model. The model parameter displays a systematic dependence on fluid velocity, which was an independent variable in each study. A cake filtration model also explains the data from one filtration study by varying a single, velocity-dependent paramet...
